Roxi is committed to treating its employees fairly and to ensuring equal opportunities at work.
At December 2011 Roxi employs a total of 82 people, based primarily in Kazakhstan. 40 people are employed in the main Almaty office and 42 in the regional and field offices. Of these employees 8 are technical staff, 15 are financial staff, 33 are operational staff and 26 fulfil other activities. 79 members of the staff are Kazakh nationals.
The recruitment and retention of staff, especially at management level, is increasingly important as Roxi continues to build its portfolio of oil and gas assets. Lola Karibayeva is the dedicated HR manager responsible for best practice employee relations. Lola reports directly to David Wilkes, CEO of Roxi.
As well as providing employees with appropriate remuneration and other benefits together with a safe and enjoyable working environment, the Board recognises the importance of communicating with employees to motivate them and involve them fully in the business. For the most part, this communication takes place at a local level but staff are kept informed of major developments through e-mail updates and access to Roxi’s website.
